Most Football Clubs start to take players at the age of 7 or 8. Of course, at this age, different players have very different levels of experience and different levels of ability with a football.

At Chaddlewood Miners Academy, we take players aged 5 & 6, and we place the young boys and girls under the tuition of the very best coaches in the club. The academy is run by Mike James, a UEFA B accredited coach (qualified to coach at every level up to and including the Coca-Coal Championship). Mike also coaches our very succesful Under 13 team.

For those boys and girls who are interested, there is the possibility of graduating straight into one of our Under 8 teams, as and when they are old enough or strong enough to compete at this level. However, the emphasis is on developiing their skills as footballers and on teaching them to enjoy their football.

Importantly, all coaching staff throughout the entire Chaddlewood Miners club and academy have been checked with the Criminal Records Bureau, and these checks are regularly updated for your peace of mind.
